Ending child abuse, one step at a time.
Welcome to our website dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the prevention of child abuse in the UK. Join us in our mission to protect and support vulnerable children.
The Campaigns Proposal is to ''Protect Every Child''
Through a comprehensive approach that includes public participation, education, service delivery, and legislative reform, our planned campaign, "protect every child," seeks to address child abuse in the United Kingdom.
Aims
Bolster legislative systems to guarantee early intervention and accountability.
Provide information and resources to adults and children to stop abuse.
Boost financing for frontline agencies and child protective programs.
Change public perceptions to lessen the stigma associated with talking about and reporting abuse.
Principle Projects
Laws requiring obligatory reporting: support the implementation of legal obligations for all professionals who work with children to report suspected abuse, as well as legal safeguards for those who come forward with information. This action is necessary to end the taboo that frequently envelops abuse.
Implementing age-appropriate personal safety and abuse awareness instruction in all elementary and secondary schools will ensure that kids are aware of their rights and know how to get assistance.
Increased government funding for local authority safeguarding teams, therapy services, and child-supporting charities should be advocated for. Lack of resources shouldn't be an excuse for turning away any child in need.
Campaigns for public awareness: start media initiatives that educate the public about the warning signs of abuse and how to file reports. A higher level of awareness may result in earlier treatments and perhaps save lives.
Approach For Implementation:
Organise a coalition of MPs, specialists, and NGOs led by survivors to advocate for policy changes that will force the government to implement the IICSA's recommendations.
Collaborations with the community: conduct seminars and disseminate campaign materials in close coordination with schools, youth organisations, and faith groups.
In order to gauge the impact and improve the strategy, monitor and evaluate important variables such as reporting rates, service utilisation, and child wellbeing measures.
Anticipated results
More awareness and reporting: required reporting will assist in exposing covert abuse.
Early intervention: Improved education and qualified personnel will result in earlier help and identification.
Better victim support: more funding will guarantee children receive prompt, trauma-informed care.
Changes in public opinion over time will normalise candid conversations about abuse and responsibility.
